•        Submittal Service-This was a 2 part J2EE service that sends and receives XML documents to communicate 
the credit application submittal process for all GE Capital applications.  It consisted of all the java packages 
needed to send and receive XML documents associated with processing credit applications.  The first part 
allowed users to instantiate a credit application value object and use a sending service API.  This sending API 
uses SOAP to communicate with the second part of the system accepted the credit applications and yielded all 
types of responses.  The sending part received responses and processes them.  The receiving Submittal Service 
EJB accepted XML credit applications, processed them and responded with acknowledgements and decisions 
and other XML documents such as comments and quotes etc.  This complete system used JMS and message 
driven services to implement the functionality.
•        DVF Offline Rich SOAP Client-This was a Java Web Start application that uses SWING client to do 
pricing models, generate quotes and complete credit applications offline.  Application allowed users to print 
well-formatted PDF documents.  Once connected via SOAP, XML credit applications were automatically 
submitted to a submittal service that processes the credit applications.  Prior to submittal, pricing models were 
updated and client cache is synchronized with server.
•        Leasing Source-J2EE leasing application used STRUTS for the presentation tier and J2EE Core Java 
Design Patterns for EJB middle tier.  Used Container Managed Persistence (CMP).
•        Common Document Service (CDS)-This was an EJB service for creating legal documents.  It enabled 
dynamic interviews for the user and generated legal documents in PDF format.  This system used STRUTS 
MVC and J2EE Core Design Patterns for the middle tier.  It was an EJB systems that runs on UNIX and 
communicates using SOAP to an Windows 2000 SOAP service utilizing HotDocs online for dynamic 
JavaScript interviews and ActivePDF for RTF to PDF conversion.  Java Solutions using RTF2FO and 
XSLT/FOP were implemented as well.
