Landscape Architecture Responsibilities

Design overall system landscape consisting of ERP 6.0 HCM components (Payroll and Time), Solution Manager 7.0, Business Warehouse 7.0 and ESS/MSS Self-Service portal on Netweaver 7.0

Landscape included five MS SQL database instances, two of them clustered to support High Availablity of Production databases, and one MS-SQL database each for Disaster Recovery, Quality Assurance and Development .  MS-SQL servers hosted databases for Solution Manager 7.1, Landscape Virtaulization Management, Solution Landscape Directory, and Adobe Document Services.

Application layer design included message\enqueue\lock server instances segregated from traditional central instances to support high availabibility and allow for OS patching while maintaining 100% up-time of the Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments, all consisting of multiple application servers.

Deploy, configure, and test Landscape Virtualization Manager 2.0 (LVM) on both local datacenter for DEV and QAS, and Azure based environment for PRD.

Document and operate LVM for daily SAP operations, during high transaction volumes, and during maintenance and upgrade procedures.

Install clustered MS-SQL database server with geographically dispersed nodes over two datacenters.

Landscape comprised five HANA appliances supporting the Primary, High Aavailability, and Disaster Recovery instances of the Production database, as well as separate appliances for the  Development/Sandbox, and Quality Assurance database instances.

Perform OS/DB migration of SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Pack 6 from Sun Solaris with Oracle database to MS Windows with MS SQL database of the Development, Quality Assurance, and Production Environments.

Deployment of the OS\DB migrated instances to five HANA Appliances, as follows: Sandbox and Development together on Dual Instance HANA, Quality Assurance, Production, and Failover each on Single Instance HANA appliances, and Disaster Recovery on Single Instance HANA appliance located at secondary data center.


Landscape Architecture Responsibilities

Provide technical and architectural assistance to large independent division of company throughout their HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) implementation.

Design distributed SAP system landscape and deploy SAP Business Suite 7i 2013 SR1 on SAP HANA Database for Project Phase 1

Deploy and verify Supply Change Management (SCM) component of Business Suite 7i, and upgrade to latest release level.

Upgrade existing CRM 2007 landscape to CRM 7.0, while simultaneously roll out new functionality to include Territory Management.

Maintain Dual landscape consisting of CRM 2007 (Development, QA, Production)  and CRM 7.0 (Development, QA and pre-Production).

Perform multiple system refreshes consisting of taking a copy of CRM 2007 Production and overlaying this on the CRM 7.0 QA and Test environments, and subsequently upgrading the QA and Test environments again from (2007 Production copy) to CRM 7.0  This process was undertaken to ensure that the most up-to-date data was present in the QA and Test environments to facilitate data migration needs.

  • Conduct workshops with client's full-time staff in order to design and build an CRM 3.0 infrastructure that meets the client's functional needs. Workshops included detailed analysis of the client’s current business processes and how these equate to CRM functionality, and subsequent configuration tasks.

  • Meet with agency’s full-time staff to discuss and verify the Technical Implementation Blueprint, including the detailed steps to configure and implement the design in a SAP R/3 version 4.5b system.
  • Participate in final client Sign-Off process regarding implemented Workflow solution for SD, MM, and PP modules.
  • Build a SAP New Dimension demonstration system for major Implementation Partner consisting of a SAP R/3 development environment on IBM RS6000, and three Compaq laptops running CRM/BBP, R/3, and Workplace, respectively.  The laptops have been used at SAP Technical Conference to demonstrate SAP’s New Dimensions product line, This system landscape of three laptops is also currently used by Implementation Partner to give live demonstrations at various prospective client sites, both commercial and governmental, throughout the U.S.
  • Provide Basis support for KPMG’s Federal Center of Excellence.
